The most anticipated chapter in self-generated power commenced installation this month for McKercher Corporation-associated businesses—the first installations of Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sigenergy’s SigenStor. These two highly anticipated all-in-one sustainable energy systems are set to define energy independence in 2025. As exciting as new technology is and now that summer has arrived, it’s important to remember the dangers the heat can have on employee safety when installing these technologies.

Sigenergy: Learning and installation assistance for SigenStor in Western Australia
Quick link: Sigenergy Sigenstor digital installer training.
We’ve developed a comprehensive guide for safely and effectively installing Sigenergy SigenStor energy storage systems. All installers must maintain up-to-date best-practice knowledge; this guide will assist in ongoing professional training. For first-time installers, it’s easier to divide Sigenergy installer training into two fundamental categories: Essential Learning and Supplementary Learning. Build and strengthen your Sigenergy knowledge to become an elite installer of this game-changing sustainable energy system.
Rated as one of the most disruptive [sustainable energy] technologies of 2025 – Derek McKercher.
Essential Learning
Download the Installer App:
- Before installation, download the “mySigen” app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Register as an installer on the Sigenergy website.
- Familiarise yourself with the installation manual and required tools.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide:
- The SigenStor system is designed for ease of installation with its modular, all-in-one design.
- Follow the step-by-step guide provided, along with the accompanying video tutorials, for a smooth installation process.
SigenStor SP (Single Phase) and TP (Three Phase) Installations:
- Refer to the wiring diagrams and installation videos specific to single-phase and three-phase installations.
Supplementary Learning
Sigen DC EV Charger Installation:
- A video guide for mounting, assembling, and commissioning Sigenergy’s Sigen EV DC Charging Module.
SigenStor Commissioning Guide:
- A video that illustrates the efficient commissioning process of the SigenStor system.
Important
Sigenergy installations without batteries need the Sigen Hybrid Inverter. This differs from primary installations with batteries, where the head unit is referred to as the SigenStor EC (Energy Controller). It’s easy to get these confused as they look identical but are different parts with specific functions.
- Without batteries, use Sigen Hybrid Inverter: Sample datasheet.
- With batteries, use SigenStor Energy Controller: Sample datasheet.

Industry Update: Heat Safety Reminder
The impact of heat going into summer: Slip, Slop, Slap and Stay Hydrated.
As the weather heats up, it’s crucial to prioritise your health and well-being, especially during work hours. This is a friendly reminder to stay hydrated, take breaks, and be aware of the potential risks associated with working in the heat. Prolonged exposure to heat can lead to heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heatstroke, which cause symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, and, in severe cases, organ damage.
To prevent heat-related illnesses, taking precautions such as drinking plenty of water, taking frequent breaks in cool places, scheduling strenuous activities for cooler parts of the day, and using sunscreen is essential. If you experience any symptoms of heat-related illness, stop working and seek medical attention immediately.
Remember, your health and safety are paramount. Remaining conscious about heat stress can help you stay safe and productive during summer and the warmer periods of the year.

Reminder: PSW Energy and Perth Solar Warehouse staff can take advantage of the complimentary bottles of water and electrolyte drinks provided in the warehouse fridge. Each person and vehicle is equipped with sun protection, such as suncream, wide-brim hats, and long-sleeve shirts. If replenishing these allocations is required, please consult with management.
Industry Update: Right to Disconnect
Australia has introduced the right to disconnect law for employees.
Australia has introduced a “right to disconnect” law, which allows employees to disengage from work-related communications outside of work hours. This law promotes a healthier work-life balance by protecting workers from the constant expectation of being “always on.”
The law avoids providing a definitive list of what constitutes reasonable or unreasonable contact, instead encouraging a case-by-case assessment that considers factors such as the urgency of the matter, the nature of the employee’s role, existing workplace agreements, employee consent, and the use of technology for monitoring.

Milestones: First Tesla Powerwall 3
Perth Solar Warehouse customer becomes one of Perth’s first to install Powerwall 3.
As an organisation, we’re at the front of the queue for Tesla product allocations in Western Australia for a reason. We’re a Tesla Premium Certified Installer [Top 2%], and we’re providing a tremendous commitment to ‘accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy’ through high-quality user outcomes (installation).
A position earned due to a commitment to excellence on all levels of product execution, which each PSW Energy and Perth Solar Warehouse team member should be proud of. Perth’s first Tesla Powerwall 3 installation was a shared experience. Stephen from Carramar, a Perth Solar Warehouse customer, combined 13.3 kW of solar generation capacity on a single-phase supply.
Even though 5 kW peak power output is limited, Stephen has access to over 50 kWh per day (annual average) of sun-generated energy to utilise as he pleases. Same-day activation credit goes to DNX Energy, whose customer, we’re sure, is equally satisfied as Perth Solar Warehouse’s Stephen from Carramar with Tesla’s 3rd generation sustainable energy solution.

Milestones: First Sigenergy Sigenstor
Perth Solar Warehouse’s first Sigenergy SigenStor installations.
Thanks to the release of the SigenStor TP (three-phase) Three-phase power supply customers now have access to one of the most versatile sustainable energy solutions on the planet. But Sigenstor isn’t any ordinary solar/inverter/battery system. While comprising the option for whole-home blackout protection [even on three-phase power supplies], SigenStor provides access to one of Australia’s first available high-production bidirectional DC EV chargers.
Two Perth Solar Warehouse customers enjoyed powering up their new Sigenstor systems simultaneously in November, and the feedback was resounding at all levels. The customers love Sigenergy’s mySigen AI-enhanced software for energy monitoring and advanced control. Meanwhile, installers love the ease of installation and rapid-fast commissioning sequence. Sigenergy will become one of Australia’s most disruptive sustainable energy systems in 2025, with customers and installers in technology harmony.
